I'm Simmer. I keep your recipes in one place and turn a week of dinners into one shopping list. Tell me how you cook.

Meal Planner Blueprint

Answer five quick questions. You'll get a prompt that walks you through building your own meal planner one step at a time, a Claude Code skill that builds it with you, or both. It's made for your own kitchen and the recipes you already cook.

1Where do your recipes come from?
This changes how recipes get into your library.
2How many people are you cooking for?
This becomes the default servings, so every recipe scales to your table.
3Which pieces do you want?
Your recipe library and import come with every setup. Pick what goes on top. Pantry staples ride along with the shopping list.
4How do you want to build it?
The web app can do more on its own. The base is faster to start and needs no code.
5What do you want back?
The prompt works in any chat. The skill is a file Claude Code loads on its own.
Example: one list for the whole week
This week, 2 dinners, 4 servings each
Produce
  • Yellow onionschili, sheet pan chicken2
  • Bell pepperssheet pan chicken3
Meat and seafood
  • Ground beefchili1 lb
  • Chicken thighssheet pan chicken2 lb
Pantry staples, check you have
  • Cuminchili1 tbsp
  • Olive oilsheet pan chicken2 tbsp
Same ingredients merged, scaled to your servings, sorted the way the store is.
What I learned using mine every week. I tried emailing a list of meals for someone in my house to choose from. I dropped it. I want to make what I want to make and what makes sense for that week. So this tool doesn't set that up. The rate-it-after link is the piece that brings someone else in.
